Chicago Loop, April 2007
  
  
I wanted to take a trip and explore the Chicago Loop elevated railway system.  So I took the South Shore train from its eastern endpoint at the South Bend airport all the way to downtown Chicago and headed out on foot to see what the Loop was all about.
  
I visited on a Saturday and was hoping to get a 1-Day Pass for the day, but even the CTA employees couldn't direct me to a place where I could get these on a Saturday.   Apparently they can be purchased more easily on weekdays.  They can also be purchased online ahead of time.  I think there are some stations that have machines that dispense these, but I didn't have time to find out where.
